I'm a physician with a clinical interest in lifestyle medicine and whole-food plant-based nutrition. Over years of practice I kept running into the same problem: patients would arrive with printouts from blogs, podcasts, and social media — some accurate, most not — and there was no single place to point them to the actual science.
NutritionRx started as a personal reference. A structured index of every peer-reviewed study I could find on plant-based diets and chronic disease, organized by evidence tier so I could quickly answer the question: what does the totality of the literature actually show?
It grew into something I wanted to share — with colleagues who counsel patients on nutrition, with patients who want to understand the evidence behind their choices, and with anyone who believes that good decisions require honest information.
Clinician-built
Designed around how providers actually think about evidence — by tier, by disease, by classification.
Evidence-first
Every study is indexed as-found. Null results and mixed findings sit alongside supportive ones.
No agenda
This is not advocacy. It is a map. What you do with the evidence is your decision.
If you're a clinician, researcher, or student who wants to contribute a study, flag an error, or collaborate — I'd love to hear from you. Use the study submission tool or reach out directly.
